Giving You My Mind, One Piece at a Time

You Can’t Argue With Results

I contemplated sleeping in the bedroom last night but then fell asleep watching Hulu. Only woke up once a little after midnight and then fell asleep again until 5:36 a.m. Although it does concern me that my world seems to be shrinking to one room in my house, I’m sleeping more peacefully now than ever.

My list of accomplishments for yesterday:

  • Updated main blog
  • Sent February offer to GML
  • Created logo for Video Introvert
  • Uploaded Video Introvert logo to Facebook page
  • Created Facebook cover for Video Introvert
  • Uploaded Facebook cover to Video Introvert page
  • Created logo for A Blog is not a Business
  • Uploaded A Blog is not a Business logo to Facebook page
  • Created Facebook cover for A Blog is not a Business
  • Uploaded Facebook cover to A Blog is not a Business page
  • Uploaded Video Introvert logo to YouTube channel
  • Followed-up on Mastermind call stuff from yesterday
  • Had pest control visit – quarterly spray & annual termite treatment
  • Had a phone call with Pinky for Freedom Overground stuff

I would rate it as a moderately productive day. Getting those two logos done was great progress though, as now that I’m getting the brand identity stuff done, I can begin to market those endeavors (though it’s farther down the priority list than some other stuff).

As I told someone on Messenger yesterday, the way my brain works is a little wonky. You would expect most people to do design and creative writing from the same hemisphere of the brain. I don’t seem to be able to do so. I am either “in the zone” when doing design work, or “in the zone” when writing. I don’t tend to be successful if I try to do both on the same day.

While I still have more design work to do, my member has requested a specific article be written for the training site today. I’m going to focus on that, and on answering their questions rather than finishing my design work. It’s not like the design work won’t still be there, there is no vanishing window of opportunity to chase.

In hopes of discouraging further mouse visits, Matthew packed the hole in my floor in the utility closet with steel wool yesterday while he was here. He said that while he was in the crawl space doing the termite treatment, he could see that mice had been using that hole as a highway. Unfortunately, I still have that one wily mouse in the house. I’ll get him, even if I have to break out the peanut butter.

Matthew also suggested trying vanilla-soaked cotton balls as bait (cleaner) and said I should add some weather stripping to the front door as well and explained exactly what kind to use that would stop mice from entering through the crack at the bottom of the door. I’m going to try the cotton balls today. Matthew rocks.

That’s it for today’s update. I hope all of you are happy and healthy. May you love the life you create for yourself. Namaste & ciao for now.
