Giving You My Mind, One Piece at a Time

Progress Continues

I managed to avoid napping yesterday without caffeine. However, I did fall asleep earlier than intended, at 7 p.m. This resulted in me waking up briefly at 10 p.m. to shut down the computer and take some Motrin (because I slept wrong¬†and my neck was killing me and I knew I wouldn’t go back to sleep otherwise). I then slept until shortly after 4 a.m.

I went ahead and got up early because I had already gotten my eight hours of sleep in. At least I’m moving in the right direction of restoring my natural circadian rhythms. Hopefully, this trend will continue.

My organization project continues. I got my goal for yesterday accomplished. This is my current methodology – I mark off a section of the room that I want to organize each day. Then, I resolve everything in that area that I can with the supplies I have on hand. If I need something to fully resolve an issue that I don’t have, I order it off Amazon and place those things on hold for a couple of days until the solution arrives.

Thus far, I’ve ordered another power strip “tower” (similar to the one I ordered last year) due to the fact that they sent me Euro plugs on the bendy power strip I had gotten around Christmas time and two sets of decorative shelving to get some stuff up off the desk surfaces.

I’m fairly confident that I’m going to manage to get through the living room this time around before I tucker out and stop organizing stuff again. At least most of the other rooms are already mostly tamed. If I manage to ever get totally organized, I might just die of a heart attack. I’ve never been completely organized at home, ever. I was organized at work from time to time, but even that was a struggle. (Yet, people tell me I’m the most organized person that they know… It really makes me wonder about my standards sometimes).

Morning temps are falling back into the upper 30s again. The grass still hasn’t turned green yet, but the trees are blooming, although the black oaks haven’t started to grow their leaves yet. I’ll be happy when we’re done with the 30s until fall. We’ve already had highs in the upper 80s. It’s the wide temperature swings that always seem to confuse my body the most.

Sunday is the day I go through my postal mail for the week and take care of anything that has come up. Mostly, it’s just a bunch of shredding junk mail. I also go through my “action items” folder in my email and clean that out as well. That takes more time, although for the most part, it’s a lot of filing, and reading/deleting stuff.

Time to get started. May you love the life you create for yourself. Namaste & ciao for now.
