Giving You My Mind, One Piece at a Time

I have noticed a strange synchronicity when it comes to capturing mice. Almost all of them have set the traps off around 3 a.m. So I was not surprised when I was awakened this morning by the sound of a trap being sprong. What was surprising, however, was that both of the living room traps are empty.

Since I got up and started moving around, there have been no more trap sounds, which is bad, because I don’t remember where the other traps in the house are. I thought they were only in the living room, so I need the little bugger to make noise now so that I can find him.

It is possible that he set off the trap, yet was still able to escape if he didn’t go all the way in. I noticed that the bait is completely gone out of one of the living room traps, so it’s possible he went part of the way in, grabbed the bait and backed out without ever having the door close completely. Again, I would bet that this is vole behavior, with their size relative to these traps, it would be easier for them to escape.

I’m continuing to be vigilant, and once the sun is up, will search the back two bedrooms for traps in case my memory is incorrect and I still have them set back there. I know there is not one in my master bedroom because I just don’t want proof that mice go in there while I’m sleeping! Hahahaha.

Happy birthday to my friend Cam! He’ll be here in a couple of days and we can celebrate it properly!

The great mouse hunt 2019 continues. May you love the life you create for yourself. Namaste & ciao for now.
